The First World War (World War I to his contemporaries) was the conflict began July 28, 1914 by the declaration of war ' Austria to Serbia following the assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand, heir to the throne of Austria, made in Sarajevo (Bosnia Herzegovina), June 28, 1914.
