We decided that the twentieth anniversary of a house so special
should be celebrated as you would expect, with a range of memories and a celebration is more fun than others.
A story born in the Village of Mother and Child (secular structure privately held since 1945 for unmarried mothers and children) at the behest of Ms Elda Scarzella,
founder and central figure of this institution, with an ambitious goal: promote and protect at all costs the mother-child relationship during pregnancy, childbirth and early years of the baby through the continuity of midwifery and education. This
rende unica la Casa di Maternità, oltre 400 bimbi nati con la nostra presenza,
nascite registrate nelle centinaia di cartelle di cui, a distanza di anni, ricordiamo tanti dettagli della gravidanza, del parto extraospedaliero oppure accompagnato in ospedale e di tutti i mesi successivi alla nascita, mamme che allattano sorseggiando una tisana o parlano delle loro emozioni per la ripresa del lavoro mentre i loro bimbi giocano con gli oggetti del Cestino dei Tesori.
Se fossimo in Germania o altro paese europeo in tanti parlerebbero di questo compleanno, le case di maternità sono numerose in Europa e punto di riferimento sociale per le
famiglie; ma in Italia con solo 4 Case di Maternità saranno necessari molti anni perché venga riconosciuto il diritto di tutte le donne e delle loro famiglie di essere seguiti in tali
case/strutture.
Noi festeggeremo ugualmente con tutte le persone e le famiglie che ci conoscono e ci sostengono da ben venti anni e che ogni anno in settembre si incontrano per stare insieme; quest’anno sarà
DOMENICA 26 SETTEMBRE DALLE 15,00 ALLE 18,00 a San Pietro all'Olmo nel parco della splendida Casa Villa messa a disposizione dalla famiglia di una coppia che ha avuto da poco un bimbo con noi. Per l’occasione abbiamo organizzato una lotteria con premi, una proiezione video-fotografica per ripercorrere i venti anni di attività e ci saranno alcuni intrattenimenti per i bimbi piccoli e grandi ( laboratori art therapy, pouring with puffed rice and more), all accompanied by a great snack with culinary gifts from the participants.
From the highway exit for NOVARA-MAGENTA, then take the short straps and you get to Cornwall, after 2 km you will arrive at St. Peter Olmo. The Church Square is centrally located around the country and there are no easy parking areas. From Piazza leads directly to the gates of Casaville.
